Welcome to the 2025/26 School Year!
The start of a new school year always brings a sense of energy and possibility. On September 2nd, more than 20,000 students will walk through the doors of our 46 schools, supported by 3,000 staff who are ready to guide, inspire, and celebrate their growth this year. The Abbotsford Board of Education is excited to see what this year will bring for our students-new learning, new friendships, and new opportunities to thrive.
This year also marks a new chapter in our district with the appointment of Dr. Nathan Ngieng as Superintendent of Schools. A familiar and trusted leader in our community, Dr. Ngieng brings over 25 years of experience in public education and a deep commitment to student success. The Board looks forward to working closely with him, alongside our talented staff, to continue advancing the goals of our 2024-2028 Strategic Plan.
To our staff-educators, support teams, and district employees-thank you for the creativity, care, and commitment you bring to our schools each day. You are at the heart of what makes Abbotsford a thriving place to learn.
To our new students, welcome here! For all students, a new school year is a chance to grow, take on challenges, and discover new passions. Embrace every opportunity with curiosity and confidence. You are shaping the future for generations, and we are proud to be part of your journey.
To our parents and guardians, your partnership remains essential. Your support at home, combined with our collective efforts in schools, creates creating the foundation for your children's success, can't happen without your partnership. You send us your very best, and we are grateful for the trust you place in us.
On behalf of the Abbotsford Board of Education, we warmly welcome all students, families, and staff to the 2025-2026 school year. Together, let's make this a year of learning, discovery, and achievement.
