Bateman Students Celebrate Community at Annual Summer Send Off

Students at Robert Bateman Secondary wrapped up the school year with the annual Summer Send Off, a student-led celebration focused on bringing the school community together before summer break.

Formerly known as the Bateman Bash, the event has been a Bateman tradition for nearly a decade. This year's Summer Send Off was designed with affordability and accessibility in mind, helping ensure all students could take part in the festivities.

Maylloween Brings Thomas A. Swift Elementary Together to Support B.C. Children’s Hospital

Students at Thomas A. Swift Elementary School showed that big ideas can come from even the youngest learners.

This spring, Mrs. Jones’ Grade 3/4 class organized “Maylloween,” a school-wide fundraiser in support of BC Children's Hospital after learning that one of their classmates is currently receiving treatment there.

Students and staff were invited to dress up in Halloween costumes by donating $4 or more. The event raised nearly $3,000 for the hospital.
